Identity control doesn't work when downloading or updating apps

Hi guys,

When I want to download or update apps, apple asks me to fill in my username and password for Identity Control. When I use the exact same information as I do when I log in, it marks it as 'wrong'. I tried to change my password for my laptop and even Apple ID, but all this stuff doesn't help.

This is frustrating, because now I can't update the software or download apps when I need to. I couldn't find a single thing about this on the internet.

Has anyone ever experienced this, or does anyone know a possible solution?

We understand that you're unable to download apps for your Mac because Identity Control requests a username and password but when you enter it, you see an alert that the credentials are incorrect.

Identity Control doesn't appear to be an app developed by Apple. You may consider contacting the app developer directly for assistance with the username and password. If you need help to locate their contact details, you can reference this link: How to contact an app developer - Apple Support
