iPhone transfer

My wife got iPhone 13 3 days ago. We transfer everything over from a Samsung to the iPhone. All her text and contact phone numbers ect, but it’s broken and we need to do factory reset so we can take it back for exchange. If I do a iCloud back up will that save everything and when we put the email in new phone and iCloud will that transfer everything to the new phone?? We don’t have a computer so can’t use that to save stuff. Thanks for the help .. or is there a different way to save everything. Text, phone numbers, apps ect

What does iCloud back up? - Apple Support

iCloud backup doesn’t include information that is synced and stored in iCloud, like Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks, Mail*, Notes, Voice Memos, Messages*, shared photos, iCloud Photos*, Health data*, call history*, and files* you store in iCloud Drive.

*-If you had turned on Messages in iCloud, iCloud Photos, Mail, Health data, call history under iCloud, and files you store in iCloud Drive your content is automatically stored in iCloud and is available on all devices that use the same Apple ID

My experience says that iCloud is the safest backup of all.
