Apple took $10.69 from my account for some reason and I didn’t buy or have any subscriptions that I did in order for it to take money from my card and I’m needing a refund ASAP

Unknown Charge?

  1. App Purchase
    1. Curious about a Charge? --> If you see an 'itunes.com/bill' or an unfamiliar charge on your statement
    2. If you have an issue with an app on App Store or billing --> Request a refund for an App Store or iTunes Store
  2. Subscriptions
    1. You may view a subscription to an app --> See or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support
    2. You can also request a refund for a recent renewal of an in-app subscription purchase

Avoid accidental purchases

  1. If it is your device then, please --> Use Guided Access with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple ... before handing over a device to a child.
  2. If it is your child's device then in the future, enable the Ask to Buy feature --> Request and make purchases with Ask to Buy - Apple Support

It could be Phishing

Troubleshooting Unknown Charges:

For Financial Assistance, contact Apple Support. We are not Apple. This is a User-to-User forum.  Apple barely reads these forums as it is. So, call Apple Support. Inform the Apple Rep of what is going on here. They’ll see this from their side of the call and will run you through the fix. Apple would likely see thing in your Purchase History. If need be, perform a Screen Sharing Session with the Apple Rep.

Apple’s Contact Information:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there as necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. And that makes sense, because with the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

Screenshare with the Apple Rep:

To easily show the Apple Rep what is going on here, request a prompt for a screensharing session with the Apple Rep. That will allow them to see this firsthand, and upfront. Show this user through screensharing your Mac. Show them any paperwork or hover over something, through screensharing your iPhone.
