Apple 3 quit working, won’t reset or hard reset. Phone app won’t update either. And of course it’s just over a year old and out of warranty.

The watch won’t work at all. Won’t reset or hard rest and the phone app won’t update. Just out of the 1 year warranty. Tried everything I could find on the web. Is it possible the that at after just one year it’s just obsolete? And can’t be updated? The out of want repair is estimated at more than what I paid for the watch.
