unable to tap Back Up Now tab

Trying to back up photos from iPhone XS Max to computer. Tried all suggestions. The phone shows up on my computer, but unable to open to look at DCIM/photos. Says it's empty, which it's not.

Now tried to manually back up using iTunes. The "Back Up Now" button is not highlighted so I'm unable to tap it. Need help, as I have lots of photos and videos on my phone.

IPHONE NOT BACKING UP PROPERLY PLS HELP Trying to back up my phone (Mostly for my photos) before I trade it in for a newer model and it will only back up the most recent 10 photos. I have tried everything from restarting my phone, making sure all my settings are correct. I have more than enough storage but bought more just in case and nothing is working. I have followed just about every help/tutorial on this matter and nothing is working. Please help!

You need to import the photos. Follow the steps here:

Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or PC - Apple Support
