fn/global key issues on mx keys for mac

Hi, there, I'm having issues on fn key recognition on my m1 Mac mini

I'm 100% sure that my Logitech MX Keys Mini does not have a globe key/earth key, yet my settings panel still recognise that key, and the result is my fn key does not work properly.

For example, on Karabiner Element, a key mapping app, even if I map fn key to left control, the actual fn key on my keyboard still has no effect.

From the screenshot below, you will see that the keyboard menu recognise fn key as globe key, but the modifier key setting recognise it as fn key. This conflicts make both setting ineffective, and the fn key just doesn't work as any of the settings.

Hi, 胡先生99.

I am William and I am here to solve a problem.

Can you update your Mac to Monterey 12.3, the latest version? And your mapping app, too.

I see that you have connected a keyboard called "USB Receiver 1". Make sure that this is the name of the keyboard and adjust it. Also, if there is no Fn key or Fn buttons on your keyboard, then you cannot press the standard Fn keys unless you tick "use standard Fn keys on keyboard".

Hope this helps!

Sincerely,

William :)
