Airdrop One-Way only problem

Airdrop one-way only problem: Why can't I Airdrop files from my 2009 MacBook Pro Mojave 10.14.6 to my 2012 MacBook Pro Catalina 10.15.7? Nor do I see my 2012 MacBook Pro in the Airdrop window of my 2009 MacBook Pro. Why? It works the other way around though!

MacBook Pro 17″, macOS 10.14

Verify both iOS and macOS are up to date, for best results...

Airdrop can be finicky, sometimes it seems to work sometimes it does not work for no rhyme or reason
