Remove / Disable “Auto-Delete Old Conversations” Suggestion?

Is there any way to disable or hide the recommendations under the ‘iPhone Storage’ tab?

I am terrified of someday accidentally clicking the “Auto Delete Old Conversations” button and losing all my old messages and attachments.

I have searched, but I cannot seem to find a setting for this. If it does not exist, while I do not use the storage tab often, it seems ridiculous to me that one missclick could accidentally delete all your old messages.

Hello anthasquestions,

There isn't a way to turn off or hide the recommendations that appear for your iPhone storage. It does say "Read the description of each recommendation, then tap Enable to turn it on or tap the recommendation to review the contents you can delete", so it wouldn't delete on the first tap. Thank you for your time. Is there any way for me to request this feature or vote for it to be added?

Also what do you mean by ‘it wouldn't delete on the first tap.’? From what you have said, what I just read, and what i can see on the storage, it would do exactly that?

if you were to misclick the Enable button, I dont see anything about a warning or a review, only if you click on the content section. Or am i misunderstanding something?
