Save/export photo directly to album

I want to save a photo from an app to a specific album. Currently, the only option I see for doing this is saving the photo to the Photos app, and then moving that photo to the album. Can I skip exporting to photos and just export directly to the album? It is incredibly tedious to have to go through this two-tiered process for every single photo I want to save to the album. It strikes me as an incredible oversight that Apple would not support this, but that seems to be the case.

I don't want to save to a shared album, I just want to save to a specific album in Photos.

Please help.

1. You can't MOVE photos.

2. There are NO photos in an album.

Just references to the original ones in the Photos App.

So the only way is using the Photos App.
