Mac says charging when not plugged and not charging when plugged in.

I have a 2018 Macbook Pro Touchbar and I'm having problems with charging/the usbc ports. It will often say that it is charging while nothing is plugged in and when I do plug it in, it says not charging. It doesn't matter which port I use, all four of them do it, but if I wiggle the charger around it will say charging. I have tried this with multiple different chargers, including new ones, so I have ruled the charger(s) out as the problem. I have also tried multiple SMC resets but that doesn't seem to change anything. Any advice will help, I have been coping with this problem for months but I would like to trust my battery/ports again soon.

My Mac is running Monterey version 12.3.1 if that helps.

Make sure to disconnect all other external devices in case one of them is causing a problem.

Try running the Apple Diagnostics to see if any hardware issues are detected.

Here is an Apple article for troubleshooting USB-C charging issues:

If your USB-C power adapter isn't charging your Mac notebook - Apple Support

If none of this helps, then have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop to provide you with a repair estimate. I find that the USB-C ports tend to become dirty or even become damaged by liquid (they seem like liquid magnets), or perhaps the battery is bad (I've been seeing a lot of 2018 & 2019 batteries failing prematurely on our organization's Macs compared to other models).
