Stolen MacBook Pro / Erase Pending / Device Removal from Apple ID

When a stolen device (MBP) has a status of "Erase Pending", is it ok to remove the device from my Apple ID / FindMy App?

No! Removing from Find My stops it from being locked in Lost Mode and stops it from preventing any unknown person who has it from erasing it to use for themselves.
