Hello everyone, I'm using my Mac mini M1 with the Samsung M8 Smart Monitor, everything is working fine except the camera. I cannot do FaceTime or anything regarding to Samsung M8 camera. It said camera is unavailable. Does anyone know how to detect the M8 camera on Mac mini M1? Thanks

It won’t work for Apple desktops but MacBooks should be no problem as you’ve already confirmed.
Im also having an issue here with connecting the M8 with my PowerBook. It won’t detect the camera. Any thoughts?
This def worked for me instantly and I was able to detect the slim cam and use it for zoom, google, and FaceTime.
I have another issue though. The Brightness keys on my mac keyboard don't seem to toggle brightness on the monitor. Did anyone find any solution to this?

Won’t work on non-Apple monitors unfortunately, use the monitor’s OSD.
How did you get the Mac mini to display using USB-C alone. My M8 will only accept an HDMI signal

Ok - If I understood you correctly, one can only use the USB C cable and not the HDMI?
the connection from the MAC book to the monitor only works with HMDI in my case.

Hi, I have a macbook pro and I still can connect the slimfit camera to my MacBook. I have connected the MacBook to the monitor using the micro-hdmi cable
The slimfit cam has usb-c input, just use a cable and connect it directly to the mac mini ;)
now that you have resolved this, would you care to advise me on connecting the M1 mini to the M8? My M8 is on way, and i will soon by a 2020 M1 mini. thanks
