How can I rename my devices for appearance in “Find my iPhone?”

Each device has its own name and find my iPhone. I share an Apple ID for the main accounts for me and my young children.

it’s not Settings->General-About->Name.

This changes the ACCOUNT name.

im looking to change the actual device nickname. It was something else before, but I had to reset my network settings, and now it’s just named “iPhone,” which is what my husband’s phone is named.

Please help! Again, I’m looking to change device name not account name. See pic.

Hello NYCButterfly24,

To change the name of an iPhone:

1. Go to Settings  > General > About > Name.
2. Tap the Clear Text button, enter a new name, then tap Done.

This is done on the device itself.

Have a good day.
