Unable to download MercedesMe map update software on my iMac.

When I visit the Mercedes portal to download the updates on to a memory stick I have to first download a Download Manager. When I do this I have to then launch the Installer for the Manager. Every time this results in the following message « installer cannot be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software » Mercedes are saying that it’s not their problem but an Apple problem. Please can someone help.

have you read?

Open a Mac app from an unidentified developer - Apple Support

if so then try to right click and choose open from the context menu rather than doubleclicking

Thank you very much Rudegar. All went well, the download manager worked after fo;;owing your instructions and the updates started to download on my flash drive. After about 30 minutes a message came up to say download failed. So I removed the flash drive and then reinserted it. It just blinks red and then goes to a steady red and is not recognised by my iMac. I've posted another question about this on the community.
