Am on iMac 27in with OS Monterey 12.31 and using Illustrator cc 26.21 which keeps stalling showing the above message. I am now unable to get any work done and need to reset the preferences file to see if that will help me.
I am unable to locate the file and would be grateful for some help with this.
is anyone aware of a bug with the latest update of Monterey that may be causing the problem?

TThanks for your response, the IMac is up to date, Monterey 12.31 as mentioned, and no updates available. No other programmes were open. I find that every time there is an Illustrator update the bugs have a field day. I cannot find the library file to update preferences .Could you tell me how to locate it on this machine.
