Upload from iPhone stuck at "Preparing video"

I solved the problem I had - also in this thread:

Video stuck on “Preparing Video” - Apple Community

simply by not uploading from the Photos app, but from the dropbox app.

(Other file storage/sharing apps I don't know about)

So, DON'T use the share option from Photos, it seems to try and compress the file anyway.

in the Dropbox app: just go to Files>Upload. You get straight to the photos/videos.

Also nice to be rid of the hassle of using itunes and all that imho.

Photos icloud sync paused to save battery on iPhone 12 Just some background information. I never had this happen until iOS 16 update. I have a good internet connection. It does not happen on my iPad and I've restarted and looked at all the iCloud and battery settings. My photos are not syncing to iCloud and it says iCloud sync has paused to save battery.. even though I could be at 100% and it still happens. There's a "resume" option and after I tap that every time the sync starts and completes. I'll open up a ticket with Apple but the only resolution I can think of is either telling me about a setting that I'm missing (unlikely) or there is a bug.

Save is greyed out when transferring photos to hard drive from ipad trying to save photos from ipad to external hard drive using the Lightning USB camera adapter. When I select the photos and try to save them to my hard drive the save button is greyed out. How can I save my photos.
