Aux cord

Why can’t I hear audio from my voice calls or FaceTime calls from my car speakers using an auxiliary cable??? My music and other stuff play fine using the same cord just not my calls..

We understand that you're unable to hear your callers when your iPhone is connected to your car stereo via an Aux cable.

Are you able to hear your callers if you use wired headphones?

Do you have access to an alternate Aux cable to test with?

This will help us to isolate this behavior further.

I’m having this exact issue too. Was working all fine for calls, Siri commands etc via AUX cable in my car until last week when my phone updated to the latest update 15.5 on my iPhone 12 Pro.

now my AUX cable only recognises music through the car yet calls or attempts to use Siri for directions or commands only work via my phone handset.

im using an apple lightning cable adaptor too.
