downloading multiple photos from icloud onto my PC

I at present am unable to download multiple photos from icloud. In the past I could download approximately 30 photos at a time. They would be efficiently downloaded into the Download folder on my PC as a .Zip folder. I would then extract the photos and select a folder to save them. In the past I used a USB cable connected to my iphone to transfer photos to my PC, however I can't seem to transfer video anymore. Its a bit frustrating as my method of downloading from icloud directly into a folder on my PC worked well for me in the past. My laptop receives a solid WIFI connection. Also if I set up my PC icloud app to download all my iphone photos in the reduced format,, it sends them, can I manipulate the file somehow so I could get the full sized photo, regardless of how slow it is.

Solved, the problem I had downloading multiple photos unsuccessfully after I had previously downloaded 15 ZIP files containing between 20-40 photos, appears to be a browser issue. I had no problem downloading from my Chrome browser. MS Edge browser, as it is set up on my PC, will not be compatible with some web sites, however the fact it worked for so long downloading from icloud and suddenly stopped working, leads me to think something else is going on. Bottom line, I have had the most success downloading full sized photos from icloud onto my PC, by using the icloud web site by directly, selecting, and downloading the photos into my Download directory on my PC. Some success with MS Edge, more recent success with Chrome browser.
