Airpods pro keeps disconnecting and unpairing from iPhone

After using airpods pro for several months without any issues they now wont stay paired and connected with my iphone for longer than 5 minutes. When i try to connect i get the screen saying “not your airpods” or things like that. I have two sets of airpods pro - maybe it has something to do with that.

I have tried to reset the pods and turn off the power of my iphone, but they just keep disconnecting after a couple of minutes of use. I dont have this problem with my 2014 macbook pro.

iPhone 11, iOS 15

Been having the same issue with both sets of AirPods I have, pros and 3rd gen since the update to the 4E71 firmware.

I managed to resolve this by removing them from “find my” app first, followed by a AirPods factory reset.

Hope this works for you.

My Airpods 3 have the same problem, I can get maybe 20-30 seconds of playback from Spotify in before they suddenly disconnect and disappear from my Bluetooth list. When I put the open case next to my phone it comes up with "Not your Airpods" and to press/hold the button on the back of the case for a few sections which will get them to connect. Then repeat the process again soon after.

I called Apple Support who confirmed there is a problem and their engineers are working on it
