Bending iPad Pro 11 M1

Hello,

I am writing to you in order to share an issue about the service protocol by "iStyle - Plovdiv '', this is an authorised reseller for Apple devices in Bulgaria.

This is an 11-inch Apple iPad Pro, Wi-Fi, 128GB, purchased on April 9, 2022 along with an Apple Smart Folio Case, Protective Glass from NEXT and an Apple Pencil . With an active warranty for the device.

1782.00 BGN for the iPad Pro (961.51 USD)

279.00 BGN for the Apple Pencil (150.54 USD)

180.00 BGN for the case (97.12 USD)

2241.00 BGN in total (1209.17 USD)

After almost a month of use in the office, on my desk, I found that the device began to bend. I am a new practicing architect and with the help of drawing tools I established the defect. Through the center of the curve, which has formed, I calmly passed the corners, folded on 3-4 sheets of paper. My decision to leave the device in service is due to concerns that the arc will become more pronounced after a longer period of use. This deformity can be noticed with the eye and it's a fact for me and I see it every time I use it. Interferes with and does not provide job satisfaction that you can get from an Apple product, due to concerns and feeling that I am using a "fragile" tablet. I do want to say that the device is not forced, nor put to some unwanted conditions. Every time I used it with joy and care. Never expected this could happen to a device that costs 1782.00BGN. An Apple Device.

On 08.05.2022 I contacted the employees of iStyle Plovdiv. At their suggestion, I left the tablet to be sent to the service.

To the description of the employees in the service protocol paragraph "desired method of repair", I wanted to add:

1. REPAIR - I do not think that repairing this type of problem would put the device in good condition.

2. REPLACEMENT - After what happened with this tablet, I did research and found that this is a common case with the specific model. If the device is replaced, the defect is likely to recur. And that would not solve the problem.

3. As a last, refund of the amount paid.

Today (12.05.2022) I was really surprised by the response I had from iStyle Repair Center. They want me to pay them extra 1250 BGN (674.46 USD) in order to replace the device with the new one. I am truly unhappy to hear that, especially when you buy that expensive device and hear the answer as a result of a fault that is not mine. My question and the aim that I am writing to you is to get an answer, a solution and to understand how that stands with this issue. I do want to replace the device, and I definitely do not understand why that extra money. If that is not possible I do want a full refund of the amount paid.

And if there is a way to contact Apple by e-mail or any contact way to hear from them how this stands.

I will be glad if I have an answer from you as soon as possible, to help and solve this issue.
