I bought a new Macbook 14 (Monterey 12.3.1) and got stuck trying to connect my iPhone 13, its showing "connected" for 2 seconds and after it drops. Also, when I try to connect Macbook from the iPhone, the error "Macbook is not supported" is displayed. Please help to understand whether this is a hardware problem or software. Airpods, by the way, connect without problems to Macbook. Also I know that it is not IPhone issue.

And there is no iPhone in my list of Bluetooth devices, only one keyboard (disconnected at the moment) that I used a long time ago (one of the first Apple BT keyboards that uses 2 AA batteries)

Its all configured correctly, by all yours mentioned points
I mentioned this feature:

iPhones do not connect to a Mac like earpod and similar devices connect.
Some apps/services use bluetooth but the connection is made as part of openniung/using the app/service.
What are you trying to accomplish between the iPhone and Mac via bluetooth?
There are a few misconceptions that need to be cleared.
One: as already noted, you do not "pair" a mac and an iPhone (or an iPad, for that matter). There is no need, and it does not work, anyway (as you have experienced).
Two: Universal Control, at least for now, only works for mac and iPad with the most current OS (not on iPhone).
Sorry, maybe I allowed few misconceptions, but I had normal work between my iphone and previous macbook via bluetooth. When I said Universal Clipboard I had in mind copy text on macbook and paste it on iphone and vice versa.
So you want to use the "Continuity" features, like "Handoff".
("Universal Control" lets you use your mac keyboard and trackpad to also control an iPad just by moving the cursor off to the side of your mac screen, and back)
Check that:
1) Both the mac and iPhone are on the same Wifi network and have Bluetooth turned on
2) Both are logged in to the same Apple ID
3) In your mac, at the bottom of System Preferences->General, the box that says "Allow Handoff between this mac and your iOS devices" is CHECKED.

Also on the iPhone, in Settings->General->AirPlay & Handoff, do you have Handoff activated?

Yes, its activated but issue is not in this feature. I don't see my iphone connected, thats a problem. It continues become "Not Connected" after few moments after clicking "Connect".
Just want to establish normal connection and use all features with it like "Universal Clipboard
" for example
AGAIN: you DON'T connect an iPhone like this. Don't try that. You don't need it and it will never work.
Whatever issues are preventing universal clipboard, that is not it.
But I always did it like that, and only when I had it connected I could use "Continuity" features.
You are not right, I pair my iphone and macbook to start using bluetooth, there is no other way.
Thank you so much for your answer, I checked all the steps again and found the issue. Handoff is working correctly after wifi was reset on my laptop.
