Login location completely wrong

When you log in with your Apple ID, in Belgium, Brussels (Saint-Gilles) is always specified, even if you log in in the north of the country.

As a result, there are users who think they are being hacked.

As far as I know, other services use your IP address so that it roughly matches.

Apple has a slogan "Why make it difficult when it can be easy".

Sign-in indicates that it's from another part of the country When I sign in to my MacBook Pro or iCloud after changing something, I get the message that the device is being signed into in another part of the country. This prompts me to change my password. But I know that nobody has my passwords or my devices and I'm not signing in within 2000 miles of Virginia. Obviously, this is happening to others. Location issue Why does my device say I am in Darlinghurst when I am living about 1 hour away from it? This became evident when I tried to sign in to Apple and got a message: Apple ID Sign In Requested xxxx@gmail.com, Your Apple ID is being used to sign in on the web near Darlinghurst, NSW. This happens whenever I try to sign in. Any suggestions please? Thanks

These location reports are based on your public IP address where your ISP says their servers are. This may or may not be geographically close to you.
