"Remoted" process in activity monitor

Hi

the process called "remoted" is runnig on my mac acording to activity monitor, and i was wondering if it is something to be concerned about? my firewall is set to block all connections, and i have nothing allowed in "sharing"

the process also runs if i log in to another account, and barely takes up any Cpu no matter the account.

i just don't understand why it's running at all, when i have not checked on any type of remote access?

You can run a sample in your Activity Monitor and see much more involved...remoted is a daemon that discovers remote devices and services.

There are no configuration options to remoted. Users should not run

remoted manually, the daemon runs automatically on each reboot.

Analysis of sampling remoted (pid 108) every 1 millisecond

Process: remoted [108]

Path: /usr/libexec/remoted

Load Address: 0x10fbe2000

Identifier: remoted

Version: 55.120.1

Code Type: X86-64

Platform: macOS

Parent Process: launchd [1]
