Album cover doesn't visible in car since latest iOS 15.5 upgrade via BT (All cars/devices are affected)

Unfortunately no fix yet. There wasn't (and probably never gonna be) a 15.5.1 update. Let's be patient for Apple to release 15.6 maybe with a fix.

Also since the only app that's shows album art is apple music, makes me wonder if it's connected with the known bug with apple music and dock.

The only app that doesn’t have this problem is Apple’s Music app. Go figure.

There is a way you can get the album art to display with other apps. However it may be more trouble than it’s worth. Swipe down from the top center of your screen while a track is playing but right before it goes to the next track. When it does, the album art will be displayed in your car’s display for that track only. You would have to swipe down again right before the current track ends in order to display the album art for the next track.

Basically, your phone must be playing a song, and it must be in this mode where you swipe down from the top center when it switches to the next track. This would also work about 70% of the time if you restart your current track. As long as your phone is in this mode, it doesn’t matter if you move from track to track with your controls or if you let the current track finish and automatically go to the next one.

I finally get definitive answer from Apple customer service: bug will be solve with iOS16 (probably not before). Good news is that the problem is well known by Apple developers. Then wait and see on future updates.

Same problem here I thought it was the settings in my 2016 BMW X5 I’ve gone through every setting and couldn’t fight out how to get my artwork back I have a iphone13 pro max and when I use my work iPhone 11 artwork displays every track software on it hasn’t been updated in a very long time

Hy All, I am currently discussing this issue with Apple customer service, doing tests to demonstrate the problem. Waiting now for some feedback.

Do not hesitate to raise the problem as well on your side to Apple customer service so they can see it is not an isolated case.

It is said that Apple will release update 15.5.1 today. Let's hope it contains a fix. Since it does it in most apps it's an Apple problem mostly.

I use the Evermusic Pro app and connect to my car using a USB cord, all album artwork was working fine even the morning of before I did the update. The moment I updated to 15.5 all album artwork stoped appearing except for artwork through the Apple Music app.

Spotify works great with in car Spotify app (Bmw 2017) BUT still NOT work with Bluetooth standard connection. And not only with Spotify. I play web radios and it doesn’t show any covers.

Definitely not Spotify issue only. Probably iOS problem.

Anyone get Apple support on this?

They must solve this with next update.

Yeah I don’t have that updated BMW idrive where I can have apps so I do have to use Bluetooth, USB or AUX, which neither of these fix the issue of album art displaying.

It’s for sure an IOS problem. I refuse switching to Apple Music.

it's definitely problem in Apple, the same is in Tidal .. no album art :/

After the 15.5 update none of the non apple apps show book or album art in my Prius. All was perfect before this last update. Apple music and Apple podcast app displays just fine.
