Blocked Emails

On my IMAC with IS Monterey 12.3.1, I keep blocking Emails I don't want but keep getting them into my In Box even though I have Email Prefernces set for them to go to trash. How do I get them to go to trash rather than my in box; otherwise what is the sense in blocking them? Thanks Lud14

Please set up a rule to move the emails you do not want to go into your Trash. If you are unfamiar with rules please click Change Rules preferences in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

Thanks for the information, but I get so many unwanted emails which I block but still keep getting many of the ones I block into my In Box; Do I have to set up a rule to go to trash for every email I have blocked? If so, what good does it do to select move blocked emails to Trash & it does not do it. Still comes into my inbox; I'll check further into it via the Rules, but it looks to me I would have to do it for every single email I don't want even though I have it blocked. Thanks very much. You may have a goof on your part on your rule if you continue to get mail, so be careful when creating rules. Also, many emails have unsubscribe features, normally that information is at the bottom of the message. Simply click unsubscibe if the email has offered that and follow what it tells you to do.

You can also manually drag the ones you want to the trash until Mail learns you don' want them.
