Is it Big Sur good for Macbook air 2014 with 4gb of ram?

Hi guys


Hope you are doing well. Right now I have a Macbook air 2014 with 4gb RAM and Mojave. I would like to update to Big Sur but I dont know if its good or not for this type of macbooks. What do u think ? Please tell me your recomendations

It really depends on how you use your MBAir. 4GB is the bare minimum for using Big Sur. The bare minimum is never ideal, but it depends on what you are doing with the laptop and your expectations. As @John Galt mentions if you have a good backup, then you can easily try Big Sur to see how it works out and if it is not working for you, then you can perform a clean install & restore from the backup.
