Battery drain since iOS 15.5

I have an iPhone 11 Pro with 90% battery health but now following this latest update the drain on my battery is ridiculously fast.

I know some may suggest checking what apps are running the background but look my phone is used no differently to before the update so I wouldn’t expect it to perform so dramatically worse.

Come on Apple please sort this!

charged over night one day and onky 60% normal should be full and even not full can last 13h but that day it die in 3h:) u need to do something before I change phone im so done with the fast usage of battery

This is the idea. Your phone will run some cryptic background process that will just drain the battery and eventually push you to buy the new one. I just experienced this on my iPhone 13 pro going from 15.0 to 15.5. The battery used to be epic, now it’s a joke.

My iPhone is draining battery too fast it was lasting up to 9 hours before draining to 20% now it’s barely 2 hours and only using social media apps not any heavy use and it’s heating a lot at first i though it was the climate but even when the AC is on still heating and the battery health already downgraded with 1%, I hope they fix this ASAP because it’s ruining our batteries.

iPhone 13 Pro Max iOS 15.5 here. This has only happened within the last couple of days or so with me, anyone else experiencing it especially within the last couple of days or so?

I purchased the phone directly from Apple on preorder last year right when they came out. I had iOS 15.5 since it was released in May & it keeps getting worse. Battery health is 99%.

I am even thinking of taking my iPhone 13 to the istore for a battery replacement, i bought it a month ago and the battery health is on 100% but it drains very very fast i think the battery is faulty and will my warranty cover it?

Hey50 ~ With an older model iPhone such as your iPhone 8, it's worth checking the battery's health in case a simple battery replacement is all that's needed...

Does your iPhone 8 still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

My lighting cord doesn’t work either. The only cord that will charge my phone is the Apple one I got from the Verizon store.

I have a 13 Pro and battery is terrible since 15.5 update. Wish I hadn’t. Must be even worse on the regular 13. I bought the Pro for the battery life.

Come on Apple - sort it out please?!

i have iphone 13 pro. i faced battery life problem since updated to ios 15.5 . after the update i lost 7% life in just 1 week. i do t know whats going on . i think next update will fix this

Before the update 15.5, my battery is at 99%. After the update, my battery moved to 95% and barely use my phone for the whole day.

Same here. Think of it like this, every iPhone in the world with the latest software is now a lesser iPhone owed to the next update. An update which was supposed to make it more, not less.
