In-app purchases can’t be completed

I have balance in my account, and I have set Apple Pay. I can purchase from the store without issues but in-app purchases can’t be completed recently. Dunno how to solve this issue I have tried almost every solution I could find online but no success. please help

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Are you getting a specific error message when you attempt to make an in-app purchase?


If you go to Settings > Your Name > Payment & Shipping, do you see any messages that explain why the method cannot be charged.


Check out more steps you can try here: If your payment method is declined in the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support.

Hi Smith,


Thanks for your response. I keep getting the following message “ your purchase could not be completed”. I have already tried the methods in the link you sent several times but didn’t work.

I have signed out and in, restarted my phone and added another payment method but didn’t work either.


I used to pay using iTunes gift cards for years, last time in March 2022, without issues. I remember syncing my phone to my MacBook and afterwards I started facing this issue. Dunno what really happened. Payment is showing “None” even though my credit is listed first as shown below.
