When I open FCPX, it asks me to pick my library, when I do this comes up..
"The operation couldn't be completed. One or more of the libraries were created with a newer version of Final Cut Pro. These libraries will be ignored."
My Mac is up to date as well as my FCPX. I was working on a project this morning and now it is doing this. What can I do to prevent losing the project I was working on. HELP PLEASE!
Rather than launching the application, try double clicking one of the libraries. What happens?

Perhaps you have an older version of FCP lying around and have accidentally opened it instead of the current version. That has happened to me more than once.
Try it again and this time go to Final Cut Pro->About Final Cut Pro to confirm.
actually that worked! for some reason the FCPX on my desktop was 10.6.1 but when I searched through finder I found one that was 10.6.3 and when I opened that one, all of my stuff was still loaded. thank you!!
What version of FCPX should I have? when I press about Final Cut Pro it says 10.6.1? thanks!
The current version is 10.6.3.
