I dropped my airpods case without air pods and now it won't reconnect help

Please try the following:

Open settings > Bluetooth > (Name) Airpod's > Forget device

Now hold the button on the back of your case and see if it connects.

Reconnecting sometimes solves the issue, if this did not work you're Airpods Case is possibly damaged and needs to be serviced at an Apple Store.
