Cannot Open or Use any Apps While Chrome is Open

When I have my Google Chrome open, it won't let me use any other applications. If I click on them, they will flash on the screen and then disappear. Even if I hide chrome or diminish it, I still can't use the apps. For example, it won't let me type in Slack or iMessage or access anything else. I restarted my computer and that didn't work. Any thoughts?

I use Chrome Version 101.0.4951.64 (Official Build) (x86_64) I have a Macbook Pro with the most recent update on it, but can't give you more info than that because Chrome won't let me ... irony. This problem just started today. Thanks!!!
