Why is my iPhone using so much data despite the fact that I am tethering it from another device? I have two iPhones: iPhone A is a work iPhone with unlimited data plan. iPhone B is my personal iPhone with limited data plan. iPhone B has background app refresh limited to wifi only. I frequently tether iPhone B(personal) to iPhone A(work) to use the unlimited data from iPhone A, but during this time, data usage on iPhone B is constantly going up, why?

AT&T has already shut down their 3G network.

The iPad Air 2 with cellular is an LTE capable device. It should still have data service.
