Downgrading from Big Sur to Catalina Music Library is renamed as damaged

Hi all,

friend of mine asked help about the issue in the subject.

More precisely the Music Db perfectly working in Big Sur once reinstalled Catalina and restored the user profile from Time Machine backup resulted renamed as ~/Music/Music Library (damaged).musiclibrary.

Music.app has recreated then an empty Music Library.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

Thanks

eugenio

When did your friend first upgrade to Big Sur? Having downgraded to Catalina they should restore a backup of ~/Music/Music Library.musiclibrary from a point in time when the machine was running Catalina. It may also help to press and hold down option when launching Music and choose the restored library.
