How to resolve Slow Email Opening on macOS Monterey 12.4

Still not fixed for me. Just had it happen again where both email and Safari wouldn't load content. I do not have Avast or any other anti-virus software installed.

I've got 12.6 in my 2017 retina and it doesn't perform better. Still have to wait some time but unchecking the spambox helped a lot. I made my own spam rules that do most of the filtering good.

Question for the group, did the resetting of the mail app that was mention in the last week or two help or solve the problem for anyone else, thanks?

This is not a fix, but if you want to see the content faster, click "forward" and you will see it in the forward window.

Try to create a new mailbox/folder and move all your older emails into it.

Apparently we all are asking too much. Nothing I have done works and Apple doesn't really care because they probably have loads of issues just like this one unsolved, unfortunately.

Anyone been brave enough to try Ventura yet?

I'm on Ventura - email still loading slowly. This started only a week or so ago - I've had Ventura longer than that

The problem is the new confidentiality features. If you switch them off, everything will go back to normal.

How do I “unchecking “protect mail activity”?

Open Avast. Go to Core Shields. There you will find the slider to opt out of “Email Shield”

In my case, too, the total removal of Avast software solved the issue. I know it's not the same for everyone, but just another datapoint for all of you.
