what is remove and sync

I'm trying to sync my music between my iPhone and Mac. I'd like to sync individual songs but it appears that this is not an option. Any suggestions? I would try "remove and sync" if I knew what it would remove from my phone. If it was only music, I could rebuild my library but that's time consuming.

Stop Mac From Deleting Songs From iPhone I use the Music app on my iMac. I have two different music libraries and switch back and forth. To get the music I want on my iPhone, I have setup a sync between the iPhone and the Mac. When I press Sync, I get the music transferred from the iMac to my iPhone. I then eject the iPhone from the Finder. When I switch Music to the second library, shortly thereafter, all the music on my iPhone disappears. How can I stop the Mac and iPhone from syncing and only do it when I do the manual sync?

Synced music from iphone to macbook gone? Hi there, I have an older iPhone (6 I think) with music on it that I wanted to download to my 2020 MacBook so I plugged the phone into the laptop and chose the sync feature (selected artists). It warned me that it would remove music from iPhone after the sync which I was okay with since I assumed I would then have that music on my laptop. Did the sync and none of the music are on my iTunes and now no longer on my phone. Does anyone know what happened or if there is a way to recover?

Hi, and welcome to the Apple Commun city.

Re: remove and sync.

Eg: If you delete an automatically synced item from your Mac,

the deleted item is removed from your device the next time you sync.
