iMac 2021 internet speed consistently slower than PC running Windows 11 and 10

I have an iMac M1 running Mac OS 12.4. Its internet speed is consistently slower than my PC's running Windows 11 Home and another one running Windows 10 Pro. I tried different access points, run all machines with minimal apps in the background and still getting similar results.

I am using a Netgear AC750 wifi extender in my room since my main wifi router signal is weak. I tried another wifi extender TP Link AC1900 RE650 and the performance is similar. Anyone can help?

Wi-Fi extenders are ½ duplex which reduces the speed. Please consider upgrading your network to a Mesh network to get the same speed throughout your home.

Also, when you called AppleCare ( AppleCare Contact Info ) what troubleshooting steps did they have you take such as rebooting your modem and router and in your case your extender?

Yes, I will try mesh next!

I did all the troubleshooting I could possibly think of and read from Apple support and other sources ... reset modem/router and extender, SMC / PRAM reset, clear browser cache, run in Safe mode, set up new account, etc. etc. I don't think it is the Mac OS. It seems the iMac wifi hardware is getting inteference from my wifi network while my other PC's are not. When I moved my iMac loser to my main wifi router (not the extender), I get good speed. I guess I am just curious why the iMac is so susceptible to wifi interference.

Mesh did not help either. Tried a TP-Link Deco and the performance was worse than using a wifi extender! :(

There seems to be a huge discussion on M1 computers having poor internet performace (Slow internet connection M1 wifi - Apple Community) and not just iMac. Not sure if Apple has fixed the problem. It is not clear whether it is hardware or software problem or both?

Lots of interesting ideas there and I have pretty much tried everything and nothing helped!

Here is my most recent speed test. Why is my Windows machine running so much faster? Both machines have minimal apps running since I pretty much use the same set of Microsoft Office Suite on both!
