Outlook Setup for iCloud error in iCloud for Windows

Has anyone found a fix to the "Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile..." error?

I'm experiencing this on a MacBook Pro 2021 with M1 chip, fresh install of Windows 11 Home (21H2 version) through Parallels 17.0 and Microsoft Office 365 32-bit downloaded from office.com.

I'm convinced it's an issue with the iCloud for Windows program itself (I have version 13.4 installed from Microsoft Store app).

Any advice?

Hi jtham,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like you're setting up iCloud for Windows and you're seeing an alert that the setup can't continue.

We were able to locate a resource on the Microsoft website which addresses this behavior. You can review it here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/338995/icloud-error-outlook-isn39t-configured-to-have-a-d.html

If you're still unable to resolve this alert, we'd suggest that you contact Microsoft directly: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us

We hope this helps.

Take care!
