Old phone linked to iMessage and Facetime, cannot remove

I have a work phone number that I no longer have access too, linked still as a contact and iMessages and FaceTime in my account. I cannot remove it as all guides say you have to log in that specific phone to remove it. Anyone that can help? I left that job, so no way I can possibly fix this through these guides online.

From the article below.

  • If the phone number that you want to remove belongs to an iPhone that you can't access, change your Apple ID password. This removes all phone numbers from your iPad, iPod touch, and Mac. Calls or messages for the removed numbers won't appear on those devices anymore.
