I am a musician. Some musical notes are sharp and are indicated by the # symbol. I do not want to click "convert to text" every time I type C#-D#-E or something like that in my notes. Please allow us to turn this off.

FWIW, a workaround is to use the sharp symbol ♯ from the Musical Symbols in the Character Viewer instead of shift 3.
