iMac G4 won't boot after setting up OS 9 in Classic

I followed the instructions here on how to get Classic running on my iMac G4 running OS X 10.3 Panther. I completed the guide with no major issues, but when I rebooted it to see if I could boot directly into OS 9, I got the blinking floppy disk. Not the blinking folder, the blinking floppy disk. I've already tried resetting the NVRAM and PRAM; all that did was mute the boot chime. The only thing I have that could be called installation media is a DVD I found in the drive when I bought the iMac, marked "OSX 1". It's not an official disc, and the iMac won't boot off of it (or anything else I throw at it, for that matter).

Is there any way I can get this thing working again? As far as I can tell, all I did was copy the OS 9 System Folder to the root of the disk, use it to set up Classic, and reboot. Thanks in advance.
