Remove Apple TV as a Homkit hub?

I have one homepod, 2 minis, and one Apple TV 4K. My HomeKit devices work best when either one of the HomePod’s is the “connected” hub. But whenever the Apple TV takes it over, some remote devices go offline or respond very slowly. I really want to see the Apple TV never to become the “connected” hub or even on "standby". Since either one of HomePod’s will be the “standby” to the other, I don’t mind to have Apple TV completely removed from being a hub. I would like to keep Apple TV logged in as part of my iCloud, airplay, and designated in a room within homekit.

I seen a similar question to this that was old and the answer is no longer correct. Can someone advise?

HomePod, HomePod mini and Apple TV are automatically set up as home hubs. You can find more information about that in the following link: Set up your HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV or iPad as a home hub

If your Apple TV isn't working as expected as a home hub, please check out the information and steps from the "If your home hub isn't working as expected" part of the above link.

If your home hub isn't working as expected

• Check that your HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV 4K or Apple TV HD, or iPad is up to date.

• Make sure the user signed in to iCloud is the primary Home app user and not an invited user.

• Turn on iCloud Keychain and two-factor authentication for your Apple ID.

• Check that the device you've set up as a home hub is in your home, connected to your home Wi-Fi network and turned on.

Unfortunately, your reply does not solve the problem and is an issue with the homekit application/functionality. I know homekit is in a relatively new state and I do hope apple will release an update or solution soon. I am an tech and apple savvy consumer and all of those items mentioned in your response are things that have already been done.

My question is to anyone that may know how to remove the apple tv as a hub until apple can resolve the issue.
