Apple Studio Display - ghostly interference?

After working great for a few weeks, my new Apple Studio Display (connected to 2019 Macbook Pro) suddenly got...magnetized? Or developed some fuzzy interference? As you'll see in the photo, there are some flickering horizontal lines only across the bottom third of the screen. I've reset NVRAM etc., but after plugging in another laptop, the problem still existed, so it must be something with the Display. It's hard to get a photo of the problem, but I've attached my best effort here. Any advice?

FWIW, went to the Genius Bar; they said it's either a loose cable or a corrupt logic board. They shall repair!

There have been inference problems going back years with LG displays.

Although they pass all the EFI/RFI emissions rules, LG does not seem to understand how to shield them appropriately. They tend to pick up radiated signals from nearby equipment. Make sure everything is dressed away from the display, and no loops of cords of any description are nearby.
