Ah, fun times. Dell calls that monitor the P2314H, and the regulatory name used is P2314Ht.


P2314H does HDMI and DisplayPort, as well as a few other and more limited connections.


Looks like it’s the original DisplayPort connector (and not the mini DisplayPort connector that’s probably more common), too.

Here are the common connectors: Adapters for the Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, or USB-C port on your Mac - Apple Support


Confirm the connectors you have on the monitor. Probably DisplayPort (larger size) and HDMI, and a couple of others.


You’ll likely need a USB-C Thunderbolt to DisplayPort cable (and there’ll probably be an adapter involved here), or the Apple USB-C to HDMI adapter and an HDMI cable.


The USB-C Thunderbolt path will probably be a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter, and then a Thunderbolt 2 to DisplayPort cable.
