Preferences in Mail not

When using Mail preferences does not open. So unable to make any changes or add new signatures etc.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.14

What year model is your iMac?

What macOS version is your iMac currently running?

I just check the Mail Preferences on our 2012 Mac running Catalina and it works fine.

Quit and reopen Mail. If that does not help, restart the iMac.

Hi

I've tried that and I've also reinstalled the OS system. Checked with Apple support. All they could suggest was to upgrade to Catalina.
