iPad is slightly responsive

I’ve just gotten the iPad Air 5 and the screen doesn’t seem to respond that well. So I tried restarting the device, everything went smoothly. After 5-10 minutes, however, the screen starts to become less responsive. I restarted the device twice and same thing happened. Is this the problem of my screen protector or is it a defect?

If the issue was related in any way to presence of a screen protector, the issue would remain consistent/constant. As such, you may reasonably exclude your screen protector as being a cause of difficulty.

Are you experiencing poor screen response to touch for all Apps - or just Apps that require a WiFi or internet connection? As a diagnostic, if you disable your WiFi (and Cellular connection if appropriate), are you still seeing poor touch sensitivity?

Given the nature of the problem, you might be best advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to test and assess your iPad:
