My iPhone was working with the Tracfone carrier. Tracfone sent out e-mail notice for my iPhone telephone number to get their new SIM that works with Verizon that is their new carrier. Now Tracfone support says I have to get Apple to unlock my iPhone 6s Plus to work with Tracfone's Verizon carrier. I need some expert advice on how to get this done so my iPhone will start working again.

Apple cannot unlock a phone that a carrier has previously locked. If that is Tracfone then they need to unlock it.
Tracphone Support as usual has no idea what they are talking about. But try this, connect your iPhone to your computer, back it up then restore your iPhone as a new device and see if you get a message “Congratulations, your iPhone is now unlocked “
