“Extra iCloud Storage Expired” Notifications

I got a new iPhone 13 pro max a week and a half ago. I did the iCloud backup service where I backed up my old phone to the cloud and then downloaded it all to the new phone. Ever since then, every day for over a week, I get incessant notifications that say “Extra iCloud Storage Expired.” Over and over again, at least 25 times a day. My iOS is up to date and I have power cycled the phone and tried to determine a resolution in iCloud settings but to no avail. I am at my wits end with these notifications. I do not want to purchase more storage. How do I stop these notifications?!

Hi Kjscorpio,

If you've already moved your data over and no longer need the backup, check under Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups.

If you see the iCloud backup that was created during the move to the new device there, tap on it and then delete it.

View and manage iCloud device backups - Apple Support

Let us know if you still receive the notifications after that.

I did everything there is to make and I am still getting the same notification whenever I launch my camera app. My iphone 13 is up to date and I recently did a backup with essentials

Of course the day after I posted this the notifications finally stopped. So I had this problem for exactly a week before it spontaneously went away
