Yes. It worked great last for several years with this MacBook Pro and a prior MacBook Air. I moved late last year. When I first hurriedly set it up in my new digs, it did not work. I went on opening other boxes and then traveled out of the country. I returned and tried a couple more times earlier this Spring. But only today did I seriously look into it. After I entered my "Still can't get" note earlier today, I got it to work with my iPhone. Your note inspired me to renew my troubleshooting tonight.
I got the Samsung J Series to work! However, not satisfactorily!
I used to use the Sound Bar in the back of my office with MacBook Pro connected to a monitor and using a magic track pad and Logitech K811 keyboard. I want to use this same set up in my new home office. However, it appears that the latest Mac OS won't play right with the Sound Bar. The Samsung J Series does not appear among the Sound choices available. To trick the Sound Preferences into "Seeing" the Samsung Sound Bar, I have discovered that I must turn off Bluetooth (even tho, Bluetooth Preferences shows that the Sound Bar is properly connected) and turn everything connected to it back on. Because I am using several auxiliary Bluetooth devices this becomes a tiresome and unsatisfactory experience. In the days before Monterey, this was not necessary. It reminds me of bad experiences at Fort Old in Monterey back in '69.
Thanks for your reply Viking OSX, but this is an Apple problem not a Samsung problem.
