Mighty mouse not working in Monterey

The mighty mouse's scroll bar works only one way after upgrading to Monterey.

What should I do?

Keyboard and trackpad stop working after upgrade to Ventura 13.0.1 After i upgraded my macbook pro M1 14" to Ventura 13.0.1, the keyboard (external Apple bluetooth keyboard as well as the built in one) and some functions of the trackpad and Bluetooth mouse stop working. If i restart the computer, they resume working for a short time but inevitably fail again regardless of what software I am using. The issue appeared immediately after upgrading to Ventura and no other updates are available.

Ventura Bluetooth issues. Why is Apple dragging its feet when addressing the Bluetooth issues created with the Ventura OS 13.0 update? It is impossible to connect my keyboard to my Macbook Pro since the update and all of my mice have a terrible lag as if the buffers get full and then empty out. I can never tell where the pointer will be at any given time because it seldom follows my mouse. The keyboard and mice work fine on all other Bluetooth enabled devices, but NOT on the one device I have with Ventura. (And, yes, I have done all the troubleshooting. Nothing makes it work properly for more than a few minutes.) It is sloppy and anti-user to let this bug continue! I left PC's to get away from this kind of shoddy workmanship!

My guess would be a mouse introduced in 2005 and sold up to 2009 is simply too old to be compatible with a modern MacBook Pro. Honestly, it's amazing you'd still have one of these ancient things and it even works in any way. Perhaps do yourself a favor and buy a newer, more modern mouse.
