How do I consolidate my iMovie and burn it to a DVD? It says it's too large and needs 2 DVD's.

Are you burning a data DVD with the burn program on your Mac, or are you using a DVD authoring program like Titanium Toast or DVD Creator? How many GBs in your movie and what is the duration (playing time)?
A DVD authoring program should be able to burn close to a 2 hour video on one standard DVD. The program can compress about 26 GB down to 4.7 GB to fit on a standard DVD. A data burn, however, does not compress the video. It is just like saving a document to your computer Therefore one would be limited to the to the GB capacity of the DVD. With a data DVD, if the video data size exceeded the 4.7 GB capacity of a standard DVD, it would not fit on the DVD.
There are ways to reduce the file size of your video by varying the compression quality and resolution. Changing the export option from Best Quality (pro res) to the lesser Better Quality Mp4 will also reduce the file size by about 4x. Reducing the bitrate the the custom compression setting also reduces file size. You can also split the video into two parts and burn each part to a separate DVD. Or you can use a double layered DVD (DL) and fit the larger video onto it.
